About the Daily Coach
The Daily Coach is on a mission to improve the quality of leadership in society. To accomplish that, we gather and connect passionate, like-minded leaders in sports and business, and share the leadership lessons of transformational leaders in sports.
The Daily Coach was co-founded by Coach George Raveling and Michael Lombardi and has a passionate following of more than 40,000 readers of our daily email newsletter, which began six years ago. In 2023, we began gathering and connecting top leaders in sports and business in our Leadership Peer Groups.
We’re a small, remote team looking to add a new full-time team member to help us bring The Daily Coach to more leaders and future leaders around the world. To do that, we’re building a business that lasts.
About the Role
We’re hiring a Growth Lead to help bring The Daily Coach to more leaders.
This role is for someone who’s driven by results, thrives in autonomy, and loves making a measurable impact on a business. You’ll inform and collaborate on the strategy while owning execution to grow our audience of coaches and leaders, drive adoption of our leadership offerings, and bring new ideas to market.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Bringing “The Daily Coach” newsletter, written by Coach George Raveling and Michael Lombardi, to more coaches and leaders in the most efficient ways possible. To accomplish this, you’ll:
Come up with new ideas and remix common approaches to reach our audience
Set up digital experiments and iterate on them, analyze the results, and pursue repeatable success.
Execute on initiatives to grow usage of existing offerings and bring new, experimental products to market by engaging with our audience. This includes building relationships with readers/listeners, running campaigns, and working with ecosystem partners for:
Leadership Peer Groups, led by Michael Lombardi
Free Daily Coach seminars
Daily Coach books
Future offerings
Optimize several of our existing processes for newsletter and peer groups, including satisfaction reporting, surveys, and ad placement.
About You
We’re looking for a Growth Lead who is passionate about using their athlete’s mindset and entrepreneurial skills to serve coaches and leaders and who “geeks out” on seeing the results of their effort. We’re looking for someone who loves growth marketing work, and is motivated by responsibility and seeing the direct results of their work and/or building a business that lasts.

Experience
You’ve likely thrived in environments where:
You worked at a small, fast-moving company (or started one yourself), wearing multiple hats.
You led or contributed meaningfully to a Growth Marketing, Business Development, or Product Growth initiative where results were clearly measured.
You’ve introduced new offerings to a market and iterated based on customer feedback.
You’ve built or scaled a newsletter, podcast, or content-based audience.
You’ve run outreach or engagement campaigns targeting coaches or business executives.
You’ve managed CRM, email, or campaign tools (e.g., Beehiiv, Hubspot, Apollo, etc.) and drawn insights from usage data.
Bonus: You’ve worked directly with athletics programs, youth sports, and sports coaches.
Skills To Be Successful in This Role
You should be someone who:
Excels at planning multi-month projects and executing consistently.
Finds comfort in working with data and knows how to “ask the right questions” of data (Pivot tables/ChatGPT).
Can use systems creatively (we use Beehiiv and Apollo—experience with Hubspot, Mailchimp, Salesforce, etc. is welcome).
Has strong personal systems (learning, prioritization, self-assessment).
Is a strong written business communicator (memos, 1-pagers, emails).
You may have developed these skills in past roles as a Growth Marketer, Business Development Rep, or salesperson.
How We Work
As a remote team, we primarily communicate through email, Zoom, text messages, and occasionally get together in person around a Daily Coach-hosted event, like a dinner we recently held in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
We collaborate, trust, and step up for each other. When challenges arise—and they will—we communicate early and figure it out together.
