Sunday Thinking ― 7.20.25

"Start late. Start over. Start scared. Just start."

The weekly Sunday Thinking newsletter is quick-hit content that aims to provide a booster shot to your thought process as you end and start your week.

“I know you think this world is too dark to even dream in color, but I’ve seen flowers bloom at midnight. I’ve seen kites fly in gray skies and they were real close to looking like the sunrise, and sometime it takes the most wounded wings the most broken things to notice how strong the breeze is, how precious the flight.”

― Andrea Gibson, In Loving Memory

I. Keep Showing Up. Let Go of the Rest

The best decision you can make for the rest of the year is to keep showing up — and to surrender to whatever happens, happens.

  • Walk purposefully.

  • Serve wholeheartedly.

  • Love loudly.

Allow the rest of the year to unfold as it's meant to. You don’t have to control every outcome to experience peace. You don’t need all the answers to keep moving forward.

Sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do is surrender — choosing faith over fear.

II. Leave With Nothing, But Not Empty

Life is strange. You arrive with nothing, spend your whole life chasing everything, and still leave with nothing. Make sure your soul gains more than your hands.

  • We chase titles, money, status, thinking they'll fill the void. But at the end, none of it goes with us.

  • What really matters is how we lived, how deeply we loved, how aligned we stayed with our soul.

Don't just build wealth in your hands. Build peace, purpose, and depth in your heart.

III. Gentle Reminders for the Days Ahead

Sometimes, all it takes is a single sentence to break us open, heal an old wound, or shift the way we see life.

Here are a few gentle reminders for the days ahead:

  • The only person coming to save you is the version of yourself that's tired of your current situation.

  • Your ability to grow is directly tied to how much truth you can handle about yourself without trying to escape it.

  • If you're worried about the cost of going for it... you should see the price of staying exactly where you are.

  • When you reach the peak, you'll realize the mountain wasn't the obstacle, you were.

IV. Question

Imagine if you gave yourself the same amount of love as you do with everyone else do you know what you could do with that?

V. This Week, I Will

  • Surrender my worries and choose faith over fear.

  • Let go of the need to control every outcome.

  • Embrace a truth about myself — even when it’s uncomfortable — so I can evolve.

  • Invest in the things my soul can carry — not just what my hands can hold.

  • Stop waiting to be saved and start showing up as the version of me who’s ready for change.

The Last Words…

"This is a little reminder that the light you bring to the world is needed so much more in times of darkness. Please keep sharing your generous heart without fear. There are so many people out there who rely on the magic you create and the kindness you spread. You could be the reason someone smiles today, the reason someone pauses and takes a deep breath. You never know who needs to be touched by a heart like yours, so please keep spreading your light."
