Sunday Thinking

"Don't sabotage your future peace because familiar chaos is comfortable."

The weekly Sunday Thinking newsletter is quick-hit content that aims to provide a booster shot to your thought process as you end and start your week.

"We all wanna be less distracted, but I think the missing link to personal mastery is not in the head. It’s not a new technique. It’s doing the emotional healing that releases the blockages, that builds intimacy with who we truly are."

― Robin Sharma, The Everyday Hero Manifesto

I. Reimagining Our Growth

Even if you feel you are falling behind, even if you are not where you thought you'd be, even if nothing turned out the way you thought it would, it does not mean you are not still growing.

  • Real growth is not always just constant forward motion; it's also staying still.
  • Real growth is learning the hard lessons and deep rest.
  • Real growth is stopping to reconsider where you're headed before arriving there.
  • Real growth is letting yourself settle and allowing yourself to blossom.

Real growth is letting yourself see how much good is already in your life before you hunger for more.

II. It's Never Too Late

Life is now. There was never a time when your life was not now, nor will there ever be. With this present moment, it is never too late to...

  • Forgive.
  • Say sorry.
  • Call that friend.
  • Tell someone that you love them.
  • Protect your peace and headspace.
  • Let go of something that's holding you back.
  • Focus on your healing and self-mastery journey.
  • Take your power back by designing and creating the life you desire.

III. A Champion's Mindset

Everyone can put in the work in times of comfort, but how will we respond when our backs are up against the wall? The true essence of a champion's mindset is born during these moments.

Here are 5 principles for a champion's mindset:

  1. Commitment
  2. Discipline
  3. Consistency
  4. Faith
  5. Heart

"Everyone says they want to be a champion. But are you willing to put in the work that greatness requires? You can say how bad you want it. But, your action will tell the real story. One day at a time. Outwork yesterday."  Ben Newman, Performance Coach

IV. What We’re Excited About

If you’re a dedicated Daily Coach reader, you know we love Warren Buffett. His ability to lead, his intelligence, his eye for picking the right investments… everything. He famously said, “The best protection against inflation, though, still is your own personal earning bar." Granted there’s a lot of truth in our earning inflation, but it doesn’t exactly solve the problem.

Think about it like this: inflation’s currently sitting at 8.6%, that $100,000 in your bank account last year is now worth closer to $90,000 today.

Now granted we can’t control inflation, but we can control how we respond to it. He does the smart thing and puts that cash into assets that soar in value when inflation is high. And there's one that’s skyrocketed in popularity recently. Fine art.

Why? Contemporary Art has outperformed inflation hedges like gold and real estate by nearly two-fold (95-20). That’s why we teamed up with a platform that lets you invest in the same type of art collected by Marc Andreesen, Jeff Bezos, and Bill Gates for a fraction of the price.

V. Question

What kind of ancestor do you want to be?

VII. This Week, I Will

  1. Talk to myself nicely.
  2. Take things one step at a time.
  3. Allow my body and mind to rest.
  4. Find peace in not having all the answers.
  5. Stop trying to control the future and live more in present.

The Last Words…

"Today, take time to connect with your heart. Your heart is full of so much wisdom and is always here to communicate with you."

― IN-Q, Award-Winning Poet
